Consumer Generated….Tissue? MyKleenexTissue.com’s Branded Utility.

January 22nd, 2008 by andyhunter

Despite a downright disturbing URL, Kleenex launches an interesting and simple “branded utility” application online at mykleenextissue.com. Upload your picture and design your own box of Kleenex for only $4.95. Apparently shipping is a bit more pricey though.

Regardless of the price you can be sure that grandmothers, crafters, amateur photographers and those with weak immune systems are rejoicing. My only criticism is where is the Flickr co-sponsored media deal ala Stunning Nikon?

Great promotion, just wish I could be a part of the team that get’s to screen politically incorrect submissions. Create your own custom box of Kleenex today at mykleenextissue.com.

It’s a tad odd, I must admit. Plus points for somehow finding ways to get people involved in the one product a lot of people take for granted. Tissue. I just want to know how successful this promo is. Did a lot of people participate? And is this just a one-time-deal for them? Ideas like this are great but I don’t really think they can be sustained for long
