an experience strategist's musings on how culture, technology and design drives innovation.
I don’t know who scheduled this event for this past weekend. But whomever did must of been high on vanilla wedding cake icing, or’s been watching to much beauty and the geek. I was amused (and confused) to see this over the weekend, smack in the center of the convention center’s lower level.
..and yes, in case you’re second guessing the fuzzy picture, that IS an uber-sized wedding cake runway for the in-progress bride/groom fashion show. Clearly the woman pictured at the catalog pickup table is calling in the local football teams for geek repelling backup.
This SHOULD not be confused for the keynote moment of geek-love, that followed the Zuckerberg geek-lash. If you didn’t catch the postsecret.com keynote (I painfuly missed it, but thankfully ideacity did), love abounded when a post-er managed to sneak in a marriage proposal.
..ahhh, karma is balanced in SXSW 2008 keynote-land and even the man-geeks tear with joy.
