Geeks Invented, Not Inherit the Interactive Earth

… a minor blow to Al Gore and most of us that attended SXSWi, new truths about the internet, google, and a dark and sordid past. No worries for Al, he’s moved on from the internet and is now quite successfully waging a campaign to save the earth. The rest of geeknation, can simply smile, since we seem to think we’re cooler and at the very least are dressing better than most wanna-be rockstars.

Thanks to Piers and the NYTimes, its revealed that the true inventors of internet (and for that matter all of the most successful of recent popular culture) are of course, the uber geek gods…

Yes my friends, Gary Gygax, and JRR Tolkien, fueled buy Hot Pockets, Atari and Captain Crunch are responsible for everything.
